History
Some of the local-to-St.
Louis Mysteries (participants in the Diana's Grove Mystery School
program) met Oct. 3, 2005, to discuss how to distribute brochures
for Diana's Grove around St. Louis. At that meeting, we decided
we wanted to meet more as a local community, and bring some fo the
Mystery School work home. Others in St. Louis had offered monthly
gatherings for those enrolled in Mystery School to discuss the work
of that month, and we decided to do that, but make it open to the
public.
We proposed
to offer monthly meetings and organize a public Yule ritual, as
well as work towards offering public classes. We held a Yule ritual
on January 7th, and that event was supported by the St. Louis Mysteries
community as well as Diana's Grove staff.
Those of us
who planned the event met to debrief how it went. At at that meeting
we solidified a yearlong calendar of open gatherings with a plan
for rotating the facilitation of the monthly events, and ensuring
the excellence of each event. This group became the leadership circle
for St. Louis Mysteries.
During 2006
the St. Louis Mysteries offered 2 public rituals and 10 open gatherings.
For 2007, the planning team intends to offer more public rituals,
classes, and other education. Our intention is to bring the values
and cornerstones of Diana's Grove Mystery school into St. Louis
to facilitate healthy community, personal growth, and leadership
development.
